today's a nice number day.
080808started the day great by having a nice breakfast with the bishan-tp gang before hanging out with roomie at bugis-marina square =)
last week of holidays. the three mths holidays seem to have flew by so quickly that i cannot feel it. somehow, i feel that the time spent in singapore seems faster than that in thailand. i cannot believe that one mth plus is over. but i guess this holiday was one of the most fufilling and enjoying period of the year.
being independent for the first time away from parents in thailand. really wanna thank them for trusting and allowing me to go away from home for a mth. before asking them, i thought that my request would be rejected rightaway. yays. they also agreed to let me go on holiday with my friends alone in dec! can't wait for it. thanks daddy mummy =)
got to make great friends during fs and enjoyed myself thoroughly everyday there. despite initial apprehension and worries, i never regretted this decision. time spent in singapore and genting were also lovely. spent most of my holiday slacking and meeting up with my favourites, baking, catching my hk dramas with my favourite actors and actresses. also making new friends at work was good as well. they are really nice people, making me feel welcomed. thanks to the best chatting partner mesh, slacking partners jun and kf, enthu derek and desmond and not forgetting the friendliest coordinator carolyn who has a tough job. i miss braddell alot =(
its through working in weirdest locations you can ever imagine that you get to learn new things from a different perspective. after mingling and chatting with the workers working there, i learn from a deeper level how much their jobs demand them despite how simple their job may look. that's the service line i guess, having to embrace a happy smile to all your customers no matter how bad or pissed off you may be with that customer. its not an easy job. i have tried it myself before. you can see how some rich people will look down on you at times. you can even see people pumping five dollars worth of petrol when their cars are like super nice and big. this was the most interesting thing i observed. apparently, its not unusual according to the workers. despite breathing in tons of fumes, it was still a unique experience =)
i guess i have to treasure the upcoming holidays since i know these are the last couple of years you get to enjoy privileges as a student having holidays compared to the future us working our lives away with hardly any holidays to look forward to.
on the note of national day tmr, i miss singing national day songs with everyone during national day celebrations in secondary school. the atmosphere is always so warm where everyone sings the songs heartedly. i do like the older versions of national day songs, they are far more catchy than the recent versions which i can hardly rmb. those were the days. although i usually don't bother watching ndp on tv, for the sake of spotting madam on tv, i shall attempt to watch =)
the thought of squeezing in the crowded bus to school in the coming week onwards does not make me look forward to school at all.
yesterday is history
tomorrow is a mystery
today is a gift
- peace out
